Black Tulip is the flagship wine of Tulip Winery. Every year the winery selects the richest and most suitable barrels from the wines of the last vintage year, which produce the fruitiest and most complex wine of the winery's wines. These barrels continue to age for an optimal period which benefits the wine and allows it to reach the complexity and multi-layers that characterize wines of this style. Each of the grape varieties is harvested in a selective and high-quality manual harvest separately and according to the ripeness of the fruit. The must was cold soaked for 5 days and then fermented at a temperature of 27° - 24°, to extract the characteristic aromas of each variety. The wines were aged for about 6 months separately and another 14 months as a finished blend in French oak barrels for gentle aging and improvement. Before bottling, the wine was only coarsely filtered, to preserve its flavors. After bottling, this wine will be able to age for an extended period.
