Galil Mountainās flagship wine is a blend produced from grapes grown in Upper Galilee vineyards. Glittering bordeaux in color with a robust character, the wine displays abundant aromas of berries, cherries and plum jam, on a seasoned background of vanilla, clove and toasted oak. The well-balanced, full-bodied wine has a long and classic finish.

Practical Guidelines for Using Yarden Galil Ā 2022 Wine
Sanctity of the Seventh Year (Kedushat Sheviāit):
The wine has the sanctity of the Sabbatical year. It must be treated respectfully, and it may not be actively wasted, spoiled, or disposed of unnecessarily.
Kiddush / Havdalah:
Since Shemittah wine should not be intentionally spilled, when using it for Havdalah one should not overfill the cup in a way that causes wine to spill over the sides. The Havdalah candle should also not be extinguished in the wine.
Leftover Wine:
If wine remains in a cup or bottle, it should not be poured directly down the sink. The remaining wine should be left in the cup or transferred to an open container, sometimes referred to as a āShemittah container,ā until it naturally spoils, turns sour, or evaporates. After that, the container may be rinsed or discarded.
Biur Sheviāit:
Shemittah wine is subject to the halachic requirement of Biur, which applies when that type of produce is no longer commonly available in the fields. For wines from the 2022 harvest, the relevant time for Biur was generally around Passover 2024. Since that time has already passed, someone who still possesses such a bottle should declare it ownerless (hefker) in front of three people. After doing so, the owner may reacquire the bottle and drink the wine while continuing to observe all the laws of Kedushat Sheviāit.
