The white label, as a concept taken from different fields of art, aims to provide a pure sensual experience, as opposed to labels where information takes the stage as part of an approach favoring delivery of maximum detail: winery name, vintage, varietals, region, winemaker philosophy etc. We chose to “undress” the label as much as possible, to allow an almost blind tasting. The focus returns to the liquid itself, to the personal experience and inner voice, to the message the winemaker would like to convey in a manner like a “Farm to Table” kitchen- with no mediators translating the feelings the wine is supposed to give.
The purpose of the lack of, or minimal information is not to examine the taster’s expertise, but rather to express confidence in the making, in walking in an unusual path for us, and in you- to experience the wine in a primary and free of conception manner. This is what we wish for anyone who chooses a White Label bottle for the first time.
