This second wine approaches a level worthy of the great classified growths. A Saint Julien resulting from the know-how of the reputation of Chateau Leoville Poyférre. This St Julien sports a brilliant ruby red color. The nose develops on aromas of raspberry, currant and morello cherry which mingle with sweet spices and a hint of mint.
he harvest from the Moulin Riche vines is done by hand and the grapes are sorted twice. Vinified in vats for 21 days and aged in new barrels between 65% and 75% at Château Léoville Poyferré, Château Moulin Riche offers a nice volume on the palate and generous aromas of red fruits and black fruits. Both powerful and balanced , this wine reveals a broad aromatic bouquet that ends with spicy notes and subtly blended tannins. Château Moulin Riche has great aging potential and gracefully matures after 5 to 15 years in the cellar .
The estate produces a second wine from its youngest vines: M de Moulin Rich. The cuvée is more accessible and offers immediate tasting pleasure.
