Chateau Malartic Lagravière Blanc offers a fresh, aromatic, elegant, racy nose and offers a fine intensity as well as a fine concentration. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of ripe/tangy lemon, ripe/juicy green apple
and slight notes of vine peach associated with a subtle hint of pineapple, zest, ripe mandarin as well as a discreet hint of almond, with touches of bass and a very discreet hint of vanilla/toasted (in the background). Stunning !
The freshness and balance of this vintage combine with the brilliance of the fruit and its velvety texture.
A somewhat extreme climatology marked this vintage. A particularly wet spring but with a mild window for a beautiful flowering at the end of May-beginning of June. Then, two heat wave episodes mark the spirits in July, but refreshed by beneficial rains. Summer is sunny and August is very classic Bordeaux. The off-season is superb allowing the Cabernets to finish refining their tannic maturity.
