Chateau Lespault-Martillac 2020 is a red wine characterized by its brilliant, deep color and an intense bouquet rich in ripe red and black berry aromas, including plum jam and blueberries. The elegant structure and silky mouthfeel, complemented by good acidity and mineral notes, ensure a well-balanced and refined tasting experience.

The 2020 Lespault-Martillac offers up aromas of cherries, licorice and vine smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and polished palate that's defined by vibrancy of fruit. This attractive effort is produced by the Domaine de Chevalier team. Best after 2023.

The finest vintage I've tasted from this estate, the 2020 Chateau Lespault-Martillac is full-bodied, round, and sexy, with a terrific mouthfeel as well as classic darker currant fruit, notes of chocolate and tobacco, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's a little gem of a Pessac-Leognan to drink over the coming two decades. Best After 2023.
