Aged in French oak for 12 months, Chateau La Tonnelle carries a well balanced structure with a delicate oak character. Made respectively of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot that are all sourced from the Haut-Medoc region of Bordeaux. The color is deep, but fades slightly at the rim. The aromas are nice and deep, with smells of a forest floor, rich earthy tones, tobacco, and a faint note of cherries. The wine is medium bodied and posses clove and cinnamon flavors in the mid palate with smooth tannins. The finish lends more to the austere side, but the acidity is clean and bright.
