Very regular, Fontenil has been one of the best wines of its appellation for more than a decade and generally offers an interesting quality/price ratio. The nose is fruity, aromatic, quite greedy and offers a certain freshness. It reveals notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and liquorice associated with touches of menthol as well as a fine/discreet note of violet and blueberry. The mouth is fruity, balanced, well structured and offers freshness, density, a little tension as well as a nice silky substance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant associated with a hint of black cherry as well as fine touches of spices, tobacco, zan and oak. The tannins are fine and well developed. Good length and persistence. Good potential!
