The 2015 Fayat is medium to deep purple garnet in color and has a rather odd nose of damp rag with hints of leather over a core of red and dark fruit jams. The full-bodied palate is a bit gritty with a mellow, rather rustic character. I tasted two bottles of this wine with the same results.
