CHateau du Tertre a Margaux with crunchy tannins 5th Growth classified in 1855, Château du Tertre is a red wine produced in the Margaux appellation. The 52-hectare vineyard is planted on soils made up of Garonne gravel and sand of glacial origin. Château du Tertre is aged in French oak barrels (50% new wood) for 12 to 15 months on average. The Wine is made from a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Château du Tertre develops a harmonious bouquet combining fruity scents of blueberries and raspberries with more mineral notes of gunflint. On the palate, the attack is quite saline and the tannins are crunchy. The finish is rather classic and reveals mineral touches.
