Chateau Bellefont-Belcier was bought in 1889 by the Faure family who, through their innovation and hard work, made this estate into one of the jewels of the Bordeaux region. In 1994, it became the property of BJL & Partenaires, opening a new chapter in the life of this Grand Cru Classe, whose facilities were modernized. Chateau Bellefont-Belcier has passed through several hands in recent years before joining the Vignobles K of Hong Kong's Peter Kwok in 2017.
The vineyard
Around twenty hectares in total, the vineyard of Chateau Bellefont-Belcier, Grand Cru Classe of Saint-Emilion in the Bordeaux region, extends over a clay-limestone hillside and molasse de Fronsadais soils.

The blend
The Chateau Bellefont-Belcier 2020 was made from a blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (25%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).
parker 90 point
"The 2020 Bellefont Belcier is a blend of 68% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 20 months in 80% new and 20% one-year-old barrels. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it has lovely cassis, red currant and black raspberries scents with touches of underbrush, pencil lead and dried herbs. The medium to full-bodied palate is firm, chewy and rich with good expression and a long earthy finish."
