Barkan's Reserve Chardonnay is meticulously created using only the finest Chardonnay grapes, carefully hand-picked from vineyards in the Jerusalem corridor. During fermentation, a portion of the juice is separated and undergoes a complete fermentation process in new oak barrels. This unique technique imparts a delightful buttery character to the wine. After 6 months of aging in barrels, this portion is skillfully blended with the remaining wine, which is tank fermented at low temperatures. The result is a harmonious fusion of the barrel fermentation's richness and the refreshing crispness of Chardonnay grapes grown in the mountains.
