The wines of Deda Winery have powerful flavors with complex aromas obtained from matching the types of grapes to the types of soil and climate conditions in the various regions, therefore their taste is 'Israeli' and characteristic.
Every year Deda Winery brings out new and original blends where the flavors are assembled anew each year, while matching the grape varieties and the different types of barrels, which gives these wines a unique and colorful character.
The owner of the winery, Jacky Hazan, is also the leading winemaker who developed his talent and language throughout his years of work as a founder and planner of wineries in Israel, small and large. After about 20 years of working in the planning of the technical and operational setup, in 2007, together with his good friend - Nehemiah Katbi, he founded the Deda Winery, where they poured together their passions to create a personal, creative and creative wine.
The winery was named by Jackie and Nehemiah after the name of Jackie's grandmother - Ama Deda , out of great love and respect for the Moroccan winemaker from Marrakesh, who received special permission from the King of Morocco to engage in this delicate and complex craft, about 120 years ago.
The knowledge and the spirit have been preserved over the years, and today the alleys of Marrakesh, wrapped in the scents of spices and perfumes and the sculpted Atlas mountains, have been replaced by the slopes of Carmel, lush with the green of oak and olive trees, the colors of wild flowers and the sounds of wild animals, in a covered farm next to the Maharal vineyard.
The winery takes place in the heart of an ancient volcano, in the greed of nature on an indoor spring that flows.
The flavors of Dede's wines, their roots are planted in Morocco and their branches are nourished and adapted, in a continuous process, to the Mediterranean climate and the different types of soil in Israel.
