Miron Winery was born out of a vision of renewing the heritage of wine growing in the Land of Israel. In 2005, the Halperin family established their high-quality boutique winery, close to their estate. Today, after more than two decades, Miron wines are considered among the best in Israel.
The family winemakers teamed up with veteran Israeli winemaker Arkady Papikian to develop truly original, balanced and harmonious series. After years of blending crops and experiments, more than ten dunams of the finest land were selected for the first planting for wine production, in 2007. Today, the winery selects the best grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and Shiraz varieties from its own vineyard. For the perfect preparation of its flagship wines, the winery forgoes large quantities of crops and directs their growth by pruning and thinning the vines. Miron Winery combines the preservation of an ancient tradition with modern technologies and a family production process with personal attention to every step. The winemakers of Miron Winery excel at what they know how to do best and produce only reserved red series with long-term aging capability, uncompromising quality and delicate composition.
From a vineyard area of ​​about five hundred dunams, the Halperin family chose a unique corner of about ten dunams located on the side of Mount Miron (the Jarmak) closest to the historical ancient Miron, and to commemorate the holy Rabbi, the author of the Book of Kabbalah. From this single vineyard, the family began producing quality wine in 2007 In a limited and selected quantity of about a thousand bottles per year under the guidance of Dr. Archadi Papikian.
The uniqueness of the winery to this day is that there is strictness to very limited production - a maximum of 5,000 bottles per year using traditional French production methods with the highest quality barrels in the world, produced especially for the winery by winemakers in a French forest and under the supervision of the ultra-Orthodox community. The wine is aged for about eight years and has won various gold medals in international competitions every year.
